EXERCISE 9-Checking the dog’s reaction to the smell, as well as the skills of searching for and delivering killed game

Commands: “Search / bring”, ” Give»

Execution: Before the beginning of the exercise, the Manager provides the trainer with a wooden object (10 cm × 2 cm × 2 cm), on which the trainer must put his starting number. The trainer can hold the numbered props in his hands for about 5 seconds. At this stage, the dog should not touch this prop or smell it. The handler then signals the handler to turn around, and the handler passes the aforementioned props to the handler. The trainer decides whether the dog sees or does not see the location of the item. The Manager places the props received back from the trainer (without touching it) among 5 similar items on the ground or on the floor, at a distance of about 10 meters from the trainer. EXERCISE 6-Sending the dog to the specified directions; commands “lie down” and ” to me»

Commands: “Forward”, “Stand”, “Right / Left”; and / or hand signals (“Stand”), “lie Down”, “To me”.

Execution: the Dog is sent to the signal cone (small size, preferably in a half circle), about 10 meters from the starting point. Then it is given the command “stand”, which it must perform at this signal cone. The dog must be in this position inside the corresponding circle of 2 meter radius drawn around the signal cone. After about 3 seconds, the trainer directs the dog to the 3 m x 3 m platform, which is approximately 25 meters from the starting point. Continue reading
