How to train a dog?
After purchasing a dog, many owners think about training it. They want you to wear Slippers, give your hand, and protect yourself when necessary. You can train your dog on your own, but you don’t have to put it in the hands of a professional. But where to start training? How to encourage your pet?
Training can be carried out wherever your heart desires: on the street, at home. But if you train a dog at home, it is likely that the animal will only perform commands at home. Therefore, it is better to give preference to training on the street, having previously taken with you Goodies for dogs and a leash. The first training is best done in a deserted place. Then you can come to more crowded places. Train your dog preferably at least three times a week for 30-40 minutes. Then you need to increase the time to an hour.
On the first lesson, train the dog to the main command “next”. You can learn such commands as “sit” and “lie” in the first days. The first five sessions need to teach the dog to perform the above commands perfectly. It does not work — you need to try again. As soon as the first commands the dog has learned to perform, then only can proceed to other commands.
The command “to me” can be practiced training, during walks. The “fu” command is usually easily understood by dogs: you can scatter food around, and as soon as the dog decides to eat — pull the leash and say the appropriate word.
Teaching the “give” command is also not difficult. It is enough to use this command when playing with a dog and its toy. Usually after a week or two, the dog knows the team perfectly.
Mixing commands is very effective. First you can say “sit”, then “next”. You need to change the order of training, then there will be noticeable progress.
The dog should not be trained at the very beginning of the walk, because it is active at this time and will be distracted. Better the activity of the dog a bit to “spend”. But it is important to remember that the dog can also get tired, so you need to give it a rest.
An important rule — only one person is engaged in training, the dog will not be distracted by other household members. This is the key to mindfulness.
You don’t need to be angry with the dog if something doesn’t work out. Even more so-to deprive her of food. The problem probably lies in the trainer. Therefore, you should review the training program, correct mistakes, and then everything will work out.
